User Control for Toolbox Extension

I have been using Danny Douglass' Toolbox extension with great happiness.  If you haven't seen it I would recommend looking at it for your blog!  One thing I didn't really like is the dynamic way the extension builds the result page based on matching the page name.  I also noticed that sometimes the content of my XML file wasn't accurately reflected in the list after making manual changes.  What to do...

imageAfter playing around with the XMLDataSource and GridView controls I decided to build a new user control that provides a similar view of the registered tools.  It turns out that the XMLDataProvider is pretty handy with generating custom looking pages.  One thing worth noting is that I created a separate XMLDataSource and GridView for each category.  This was necessary to get the categorized look similar to the way the original Toolbox extension provided.  I could have easily just showed the entire list without the categories.

Why not have a look at the finished product over at my Downloads page.
