BlogEngine Theme - Paalam

by chris 3/12/2008 12:42:00 AM

Well I finally got a little tired of the standard theme that I have been using for the last several months and decided to troll around for a new theme.  After looking around I stumbled across a nice them from WPThemePark.com called Paalam that seemed to be clean and crisp.  The only problem is that everything was written for WordPress and is in PHP.  So after re-watching Al Nyveldt's awesome videos I decided to tackle this conversion myself (actually I couldn't find anyone else who was willing to do this for me)...

I have to say it isn't all that hard, just extremely time consuming.  I can say I won't be jumping for joy to do that again but the experience was well worth it.  I can't say for 100% certainty that there isn't something odd here or there in this theme but so far everything seems to be working just fine.  Have a look and let me know your thoughts.

UPDATE:  I noticed a problem (pointed out by Mike - Thanks!) with some of the code I brought from the original theme.  I have updated the files in the zip to clear out this issue.
